A FLAW in the suspension of the Citroen C4 PIcasso could lead to drivers running off the road - or worse.
The ACCC has issued a recall on the French made cars saying people who have bought them will be contacted by mail.
Purchasers are also encouraged to take their car into a dealership to arrange an inspection.
"The front suspension wishbone bolts may not be to the correct specification," a product recall alert from the ACCC read.
"The bolts may break if they are not to the correct specification. This may cause the wheels to tilt and reduce steering control, posing a potential hazard to the driver and other road users."
Last year Citroen sold 77 C4 Picassos across the country.
The cars that are affected were sold between November 2014 and January 2015.
