IS IT a bird? Is it a plane?

No. It's a 70-year-old couple to the rescue!

NSW police are investigating a break and enter that was foiled by a pair of seniors in Maitland in the Hunter region.

According to police, a man broke into the couple's home at Morpeth and stole two mobile phones.

But this time he was foiled by the 73-year-old male resident of the house.

The robber was then chased away by witnesses.
