PERFECT weather, an all-new Jazz festival, well-behaved crowds and minimal noise complaints: Easterfest 2014 was a huge success and event director Dave Schenk couldn't be happier.

Mr Schenk, about to join the bush dancers for a world record attempt, said the vibe at this year's festival had been incredible.

"It's too early to talk numbers but the crowds have been great.

"The new PA system has been a success. It's my understanding at the moment that we've only had one noise complaint and that was 11.45pm.

"And we're almost certainly about to break a world record."

The main stage crowds went wild for headliners Evermore on Saturday night and X-Factor winner from Queensland, Dami Im last night.

The two artists had collaborated before the festival and Evermore band member Jon Hume said working with talent like hers was humbling.

"I thought I had a good voice, but now I'm not so sure.

"There are extremely talented musicians in Australia and New Zealand and so many more opportunities for the industry."

Another festival highlight was a surprise announcement for Easterfest 2015.

"It was announced that Switchfoot will perform next year," Mr Schenk said.

Switchfoot is a Grammy award-winning Christian rock band that has gained mainstream recognition.

One Easterfest fan sure to be there next year, especially after having met Captain Jack Sparrow, was five-year-old Mayana Friend.

The young visitor from Maryborough had attended the festival six times with her family.

"We brought her when she was just a baby," her mother Zoey Friend said.

"It's my 15th time."
