EASTER'S just around the corner and you've got a four-day weekend coming your way. Why not get out the house and enjoy the Easter long weekend.

We've complied a list of handy getaways this Easter, whether it's a quick getaway or a roadtrip, there's something for every taste and budget.

Queensland Easter getaways

Situated just 50 minutes south of Brisbane, the Gold Coast is a perfect Easter long weekend destination. It's home to some of Australia's best beaches and tourist attractions like Movie World, Sea World and Wet n' Wild. All three parks are offering a 3 Park Super Pass which allows unlimited entry for 14 days to either Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World and Wet'n'Wild. Grab your Super Pass online at www.theme-parks.com.au and save $10 off the gate price!

While you're there, why not stay at Sea World Nara resort at Main Beach. Prices start at $210 for four per night in a Superior room. So pack those bags, grab that hat, round up the family and head to the Gold Coast this Easter.

If you're keen to experience city living this Easter, Brisbane is your destination for fun, fashion and food. South Bank is the place to indulge in cafes, restaurants, theatres and nightlife and not to mention the Wheel of Brisbane - the City's first permanent ferris wheel which overlooks the CBD and the Brisbane River.

Your family can have some Easter fun at the Holiday Inn.

It's only a short walk from the city centre and shopping precinct, the Queen St Mall.

The Easter package includes a full buffet breakfast for two adults and a Kids Pack on arrival, for $115 for two adults  and two kids per night.

If you're keen to escape the hustle and bustle this Easter, a trip to the country is just what the Easter bunny ordered. Escape this Easter at Peppers Hidden Vale, in the Lockyer Valley. Peppers Hidden Vale offers three different Easter retreats - the Valley View room, the Cottage room or a Family Easter Escape. Country Buffet Breakfast, Barn & Campfire Barbecue, Easter treats and sports activities are all inclusive from $299 for two per night.

Byron Bay is just a skip-and-a-hop away from Brisbane and the Gold Coast, but is a great escape from the rest of the world.

With it's pristine beaches and laidback appeal, Byron's a great destination for families or couples. This Easter Byron will come alive with the East Coast Blues & Roots Festival, so it might pay to book your accommodations soon to avoid disappointment.

Aaron's at Byron, a brand new 4.5 star guesthouse offers private, relaxing, comfortable and luxurious suites from $300-330 a night for a weekend stay. The brand new guest suites are only a short walk from the town centre, at 44 Shirley Street, Byron Bay.

IF you want to go the whole hog this Easter, Sydney is the place to do it. The Harbour City is Australia's biggest and busiest city, and is home to sensational tourist attractions, amazing night life and stunning cafes and restaurants.

Easter's the perfect time to visit Sydney, because that's when the Royal Easter Show comes alive. Australia's biggest show, the Royal Easter Show features all the usual favourites like sideshow alley and the rides, but this year it promises to be bigger and better with woodchopping, diving pigs and stunt car shows. Tickets for this year's show range from $21.50 for kids to $32 for adults.
