Duporth Ave roadworks on track for Easter completion
SUNSHINE Coast Council are assuring motorists the repairs to Duporth Avenue will be worth their frustrations.
As the northbound lane closure on Maroochydore's Duporth Avenue continues, councillor Jason O'Pray has reached out to motorists saying the repairs are on track to be completed with the Big Top refurbishments by the Easter school holidays.
"I know the reduction to one-way traffic has caused some inconvenience, but I'm sure all will agree it's worth it to ensure this shared pedestrian and traffic area is safe for everyone." Cr O'Pray said.
"The new pavers will be more durable and will retain the current look which adds to the character of Duporth Ave."
The seven week construction period began in the busy section of Maroochydore on February 20 with an original end date set for April 2.
Cr O'Pray thanked motorists for their patience.
