Driver charged over fatal hit and run

CHARGES have been laid over a fatal hit and run at Brooms Head earlier this year.
A 58-year-old man was found lying in Wallaby Lane with critical injuries in February.
He was taken to Lismore hospital where he later died.
Following an extensive investigation, Coffs/Clarence detectives charged 52-year-old man this week with dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death.
It will be alleged the man ran over the victim with his car.
He will front Maclean Local Court on Thursday, September 10.
