Dragon’s scaling new heights thanks to McGregor

DRAGONS winger Eto Nabuli has quickly developed a cult following among the Red V fan base and he is a case study in just how far coach Paul McGregor has turned the club around.

It was only just over three years ago legends Brad Fittler and Andrew Johns spotted his raw talent while working as a hotel porter in Fiji, before Fittler recommended the Panthers sign him.

Now Nabuli (pictured) is a star for the Dragons, with his second-placed side to take on reigning premiers the Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium tonight.

"I was so excited and happy with what they (Fittler and Johns) did. They helped give me an opportunity," Nabuli told APN.

Nabuli, with three tries this season, said McGregor had vastly improved his defence.

"He talks straight ... I'm very proud of what he's done for me, especially in defence," he said.

The Rabbitohs could welcome back halfback Adam Reynolds (knee).
