Doctor charged with sexual assault
UPDATE: A COFFS Harbour doctor has been charged by police with four counts of aggravated sexual assault that were allegedly committed against two of his female patients.
Police allege the offences took place at a Gordon St medical practice.
In January, a 60-year-old woman alleges she was sexually assaulted by the doctor.
Police said the woman reported the matter to officers for investigation.
Then on Tuesday, April 29, another woman, aged 20, told police she was the victim of an alleged sexual assault at the hands of the doctor as she underwent treatment at the clinic.
The 60-year-old medical professional was arrested on Thursday at 2pm at the practice and today appeared in the Coffs Harbour Local Court.
He was refused bail to reappear on June 26.
