Do ya think I’m sexy? Well, it’s all in a name
WHAT'S in a name?
Apparently a lot more than Shakespeare may have ever realised when suggesting a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.
It turns out your name, if you are a man, might hold the key to your success with the ladies.
A new survey by dating site WhatsYourPrice.com claims to have discovered the name most likely to get a date.
The site collected data on which Australian male profiles acquired the most dates and ranked the most appealing men's names accordingly.
The name at the top of the list was not Romeo and definitely not Brad. It was Mark.
Muster fan Mark Raymont, from Cooroy, is 31 and this is his 32nd Muster.
Yes, he was conceived at the Muster.
"I thought there were sexier names," he said yesterday.
"Not sure who picked that. If that's how it is, I'll take it though.".
Canada and the US also had Mark as a very popular choice.
With other names such as Phillip, Andrew, William and Sam making the top 10, Australian women seem to have a preference for men with classic, almost regal sounding names.
"It is interesting that Mark is not only ranked as one of our sexiest names in the western hemisphere, but also in Australia," website CEO Brandon Wade said.
"Our data indicates that women may see certain names as an indicator of success, making those men who happen to be named Mark an attractive suitor."
