Dig deep for cash to keep the music alive in Ballina

THE riffs of country music will fill the air around Ballina in June, and someone will be filling their pockets with cash.

Tickets are now available in the Ballina Coastal Country Music Festival fundraising raffle, with a cool $1000 up for grabs as first prize.

The popular festival wasn’t held last year because of difficulties in getting the $85-90,000 needed to put on the show.

The Rotary Club of Ballina has since come on board to make sure those guitar strings will be strumming again this year.

Other prizes include a $1500 voucher for waterfront villa accommodation at Ballina Lakeside Holiday Park, $500 Woolworths shopping voucher, NIRVE singe speed beach cruiser from The Bicycle Emporium, and two nights’ accommodation at Mantra on Salt Beach.

Tickets cost $5 and are being sold at Summerland Credit Union, Wallaces in Ballina, Flowers in Paradise in Ballina and at the festival office, which is soon to open in River St.

The festival will be held from June 10-12, with 30 acts over six venues. Visit ballinacountrymusic.com
