Hilarious video of frying egg in Dalby heatwave goes viral

TOOWOOMBA residents shouldn't be fooled by today's slightly cooler morning as weather forecasters predict the heatwave is going to last another week.

The Bureau of  Meteorology warns of a continuing run of 30 degrees-plus temperatures until the end of next week.

Toowoomba yesterday hit a maximum temperature of 35 degrees with 57 per cent humidity.

It was so hot in Dalby, a resident cooked an egg on the road.

The hungry man, fed up with the heat, recorded his hilarious attempt at cooking the perfect egg.

The video, posted by 7 News, went viral with almost 1000 shares on Facebook.

Today will remain cloudy for the rest of the day, reaching a top of 27 degrees.

Higgins Storm Chasing is forecasting a surface trough to shift north-east towards the Darling Downs.

A low pressure system is expected to develop over inland Queensland which will help amplify rainfall.

Enjoy the slightly milder temperature while it lasts as the southeast and southwest corners of the state will sweat through another severe heatwave from Tuesday to Thursday.
