Has the Bachelor's Blake Garvey found love with Lisa?
IF BLAKE Garvey were to back a lady to win his heart, Lisa Hyde would be a "big contender".
The Bachelor set the Coolum bachelorette's heart racing on their second single date last night.
"I had no idea what we were doing but the night before at the cocktail party, he asked what are the things you like to do and I mentioned the races. He was so happy but he couldn't tell me," Lisa said.
"When we got there he'd booked out the whole racecourse."
After a little hand touching and deep conversation trackside, it was confirmed for Lisa, and she told Blake she was falling in love with him.
"I'm not the type of girl who would come out and say it, it took me longer than the other girls," she said.
"For me it takes time for love to open up.
"There was a spark there and I could see we got along really well.
"I wanted to make sure it was real and I was falling in love and not with the idea of the Bachelor."
Will Blake find his true love on The Bachelor?
This poll ended on 12 September 2014.
Yes, it's such a romantic way to find love.
No, it's just a television show, their feelings aren't real.
Yes, and I think he's already found his perfect match.
It's all a bunch of nonsense.
This is not a scientific poll. The results reflect only the opinions of those who chose to participate.
It's that timid nature that has fascinated Blake.
"When I first met her she was someone who I thought was really warm and a tiny bit shy, which is cute," he said.
"She was really good at reading me and everyone in the house.
"She's someone I feel I have been able to depend on, which for me is really important.
"You don't normally get that until you're in a relationship and I have the stability and reliance if I need her for a hug or a laugh.
"There's so much going on in the house I'm confident with Lis. We both know where we're at in our lives and realised how much we are in sync with what we want in our future and we are ready for a relationship."
Aside from a physical and deeper connection, Blake said their personalities were similar.
"We're entrepreneurial and work hard but laugh hard as well," he said.
"I felt from the beginning we have that in common and have that attraction as well.
"That stands out when you find a kindred spirit and then talk to someone more nervous or at a completely different stage, then it highlights how much Lisa and I have in common and what we want."
Q&A with The Bachelor BLAKE GARVEY
What made you want to be on the Bachelor?
I thought this is a great opportunity.
Worst case scenario I have a bunch of unforgettable experiences with hopefully incredible women and best case I get to potentially spend the rest of my life with one of these women.
Does it feel awkward to date that many girls at the same time?
You isolate every date, each is their own individual date. I learnt to do that very quickly. It was a bit strange when I had an amazing first date with Jess, then Holly. It was a bit weird.
Have you ever forgotten or mixed up their names?
Once at the beginning I did. We were having a chat and I'd had a few wines. But we had a laugh.
Do you think if you do fall in love that it will hold up after the show, given the lavish dates?
I hope so. That's the risk, I guess. Enough of who I am is coming across, they know who they are with, everyone is real. We know this is a crazy experience but everyone has this sense of perspective.
After this happens we'll go on some amazing dates, but not always picked up in limos.
Did you fall in love with Jess at first sight?
I don't think at first sight. A big chemistry was there and there was so much fun on the first date, that was amazing. I wouldn't say on the first night ...
Who thinks of and pays for all the dates?
I have a lot of input. They approached me three weeks before asking, can you give a list of things you like?
You'd feel like a tool if you didn't come up with stuff and take credit for it, I'd feel awkward. As I came to know the girls and what they like ... it's great to customise.
