Dash Cam: Police van in three-car prang

THE driver of this marked police van almost certainly went the same shade as the stop light after striking the back of a silver Magna in Western Australia.

The prang was captured by another driver's dashboard camera -- or dash cam -- on the Great Western Highway in Prospect, Western Australia earlier this month.

It has been watched more than 350,000 times since being uploaded to YouTube by Dash Cam Owners Australia with the caption, "And that children is why you don't tailgate. He forgot to protect and swerve".

The full video shows the van hitting the back of the Mitsubishi which pinballs into the tiny red car in front, shoving it across a major intersection.

Probably a tough day for the boy in blue, particularly when he has to have a chat to the drivers in the red hatchback.
