CYCLING: Australia grabs silver in men's team pursuit

THE Australian men's pursuit team has claimed silver behind Great Britain in a time of 3.51.008.

The team which comprised of Jack Bobridge, Alex Edmonson, Michael Hepburn, and Sam Welford narrowly missed out on gold with the Brits clocking 3.50.2.

This is the second consecutive Olympics in which Great Britain has taken gold in the event.

It's also star cyclist Bradley Wiggins' eighth Olympic medal- a national record.

Denmark won bronze.
