WATCH: Curry and Durant run hot in game one of NBA Finals
BASKETBALL: Superstars Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry have wasted no time in stamping their authority on the NBA Finals.
The duo powered Golden State to a dominant 113-91 win over Cleveland in game one of the deciding series yesterday.
While it wasn't completely a two-man show for the Warriors, Durant and Curry were the undoubted stars as Golden State's only players to score double figures at Oracle Arena.
Durant led the way with a game-high 38 points, making the most of Cleveland's sloppy defence with a flurry of ferocious first-half dunks.
After the Warriors led by eight points at half-time, Curry helped turn the screws in the second half, finishing with 28 points - including six three-pointers - and 10 assists.
The pair overshadowed Cavs megastar LeBron James (28 points, 15 rebounds, eight assists), who neared a triple-double but also committed eight of Cleveland's 19 turnovers.
The Warriors made the perfect start after becoming the first side in history to enter the finals with a 12-0 record.
Steve Kerr's side takes a 1-0 series lead into game two on Monday (AEST) before the scene shifts to Cleveland for games three and four.
