Cop enjoys well earned cuppa after croc capture
Gunbalanya Police don't just keep the street safe from criminals, they also keep them safe from the Territory's wildlife.
Constable Samuel Hyson woke to a call from a local shopkeeper warning about a crocodile in the street.
The crocodile was apprehended and taken into custody for its safety and the safety of the community.
"From a remote policing perspective crocodile jobs are by far the best to be called to, they are quintessentially Territorian and great for morale and community engagement," said Const Hyson.
"The only complaint from this job is that it was called in before my morning coffee, as the small crocodiles are extremely fast, caffeine would have been of assistance."
This is the fifth crocodile incident Gunbalanya Police have attended this year.
