Comanchero arrested over attempted hotel bombing

A COMANCHERO bikie has been arrested over the attempted bombing of the hotel at the site of the infamous 1984 Milperra massacre.

Samy Duonh, 40, is accused of planting a bomb which police say could have had "catastrophic consequences" at the Mill Hotel on July 25.

Formerly known as the Viking Tavern, the hotel was the site of the bloody Fathers Day battle between the Comancheros and Bandinos which claimed the lives of six bikies and one innocent bystander.

Detectives from the Gang Squad arrested Duonh at a Liverpool hotel late Tuesday.

He was charged with attempting to damage property by explosive and refused bail.
