Coffs meth lab woman extradited from Queensland

A WOMAN who allegedly fled to Queensland following a meth lab bust at a Boambee caravan park has been extradited back to NSW.

Christine Rose Buchanan was arrested at Beenleigh last Friday over her alleged role in a hazardous drug operation which forced the Koala Villas caravan park into lockdown earlier this year.

Police allege Buchanan and another female were in the process of mixing potentially explosive chemicals for the purpose of making backyard drugs when their caravan was raided on the morning of January 24.

The site was contained and chemical squad officers were called in from Sydney to dismantle the lab.

A 39-year-old man was arrested on the day of the raid and is currently before the courts.

On the weekend, Coffs Harbour detectives travelled to Queensland and secured Buchanan's extradition.

She was taken to Lismore where she appeared in court and was refused bail.

Investigations are continuing.
