Chris and Karise shine on The Voice

CHRIS Sebastian came into his own on The Voice tonight.

The brother of Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian finally wowed with his performance of coach Seal's arrangement of I Can't Stand The Rain.

"You sang that better than I did," Seal said.

"You brought that song home brother. I'm so happy right now."

Other stand-out performances of the night included Fatai Veamatahau's performance of Ave Maria, Karise Eden's emotional rendition of Landslide and Glenn Cunningham singing Neo's RnB hit Closer backed by five dancers.

Despite her nerves, Eden received plenty of praise from her coach.

"Of all the people I've heard in the past 21 years, you have something that is really, really special," Seal said.

"It's something you can't manufacture. You can't produce it. It comes through you. It doesn't come from you.

"Tonight wasn't necessarily your best vocal performance of that song but you have the gift. Your 50 percent is better than most people's 80 percent."

Heads continued to roll on the show as the results of the past week's viewer votes were revealed.

Lakyn Heperi and Sarah De Bono were saved by the viewer vote on Team Joel.

Madden chose to keep Prinnie Stevens and Ben Hazlewood, sending Laura Bunting home.

"I don't think there's another artist on the show like you," Madden said to Bunting.

"You're one of a kind."

Darren Percival and Brittany Cairns had the most public support on Team Keith.

Tuning in via satellite from Los Angeles, Urban chose to keep Diana Rouvas and Adam Martin.

That left Taga Paa and Jimmy Cupples saying their goodbyes.

Seal and Delta Goodrem also performed group numbers with their four finalists.

Decked out in all black, Team Seal sang his Grammy-winning hit Kiss From A Rose.

Team Delta closed the show with her hit Born To Try.

Next week, two singers from Team Seal and Team Delta will be eliminated and Keith Urban and Joel Madden's four finalists will perform.
