A JUDGE has ordered a 27-year-old man undergo treatment to prevent him from sexually abusing any more children after the accused admitted to abusing a four-year-old boy.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty in the Toowoomba District Court to one charge of indecent treatment of a child under 16.

The offences occurred in March and May last year.

Judge Michael Shanahan sentenced the man to two years and six months imprisonment, but he was released after he spent 329 days in presentence custody, from December 18, 2014, to Wednesday.

He was released on parole with conditions to remain in place for three years.

Judge Shanahan ordered the man must abide by the parole conditions and that he must undergo counselling and treatment to stop his sexual offending.

The man also pleaded guilty to 13 other charges including five counts of entering premises and committing indictable offences, three fail to comply with bail conditions, and a single charge of using a carriage service to menace or harass.

He was released with conditions in place for two years for 10 of the 13 charges.
