CHEEKY: Loaded handgun found between buttocks

POLICE have allegedly found a loaded handgun 'secreted' between the buttocks of a Rebels Outlaw Motorcycle Gang associate in Queensland.

Police said a Rebels OMCG associate has been charged with a number of offences following the location of two firearms earlier this week.

On Monday, during a search of the man's Mercedes vehicle on Felix Street, Brisbane, police located a handgun in the rear of the vehicle.

Officers from City CIB and Taskforce Maxima executed a search warrant on a city apartment linked to the Rebel OMCG associate.

At this location the OMCG associate was searched and a loaded handgun was located secreted between his buttocks.

The man was charged with the following offences:

2 x Unlawful possession weapon Category H (Handguns)
1 x Unlawful possession Category R - silencer
1 x Unlawful possession Category R - taser
1 x Possession dangerous drug - methylamphetamine (2.5gms)
1 x Possession explosives
1 x Possession dangerous drug - diazepam
1 x Possession of utensils
1 x Possession of tainted property
1 x Poss controlled substance -xylocaine with adrenalin vial.

"It was great work by City Officers acting promptly on reported suspicious activity and conducting a thorough search of the vehicle,'' Taskforce Maxima Commander Mick Niland said.

"Those that associate with OMCGs have to realise there is a cost and a risk to being a member or an associate of these crime gangs and organised crime.

"You will continue to be targeted relentlessly by all QPS officers."

The man will next appear on December 21 in the Brisbane Magistrates Court.
