Cheat sheet: Turning notifications on and off on Facebook

IT'S a two-second trick that could save a lot of comments of "following" - or simply "F" on Facebook posts.

Many Facebookers use the social media site without realising that they don't need to comment to receive updates on posts.

Some people also find themselves in strife because they want to stop getting updates on a Facebook post they've commented on but don't know how.

But on every post made to Facebook there is a little button in the top right corner that allows you to choose to receive updates on a post, or turn them off.

Simply click the little arrow, then select "turn on notifications for this post".

If, however, you're tired of seeing updates, you can do the opposite using the same method.

It's that simple. Do you have a hint or tip for using social media more easily? Leave a comment below.
