Centenarians love the Alstonville Tibouchina Day Club
THEY may all be centenarians, but three Alstonville ladies are still very active members of the Alstonville Tibouchina Day Club.
As well as commemorating 100 years of ANZAC this year, the Alstonville Tibouchina Day Club will also be celebrating the birthdays of their three Centenarians, Ella Greenwood who will be 104 in July, Mavis Berryman who will be 103 in September, and Alma O'Connor who will be 100 in June.
These three ladies come from varied backgrounds and all have a wonderful story to tell, the club said.
"We are very blessed to have them as active members of the Alstonville Tibouchina Day Club," a club statement wrote.
The Alstonville Tibouchina Day Club is always looking for new members.
Day Clubs offer a setting in which to develop friendships and social support networks by providing the opportunity for members to be involved in a varied program of stimulating activities that enhance health and wellbeing.
The Alstonville Tibouchina Day Club meets at the Alstonville Leisure & Entertainment Centre on Wednesday of each week between 10am and 2pm.
The Club provides transport for members getting to and from the Club.
All who attend pay a contribution for the day.
They are provided with morning tea and lunch.
