Case of alleged sexual assault of child to be heard in Coffs

THE case against a Macksville father accused of assaulting his teenage daughter's friend at a Grafton motel, has been transferred to Coffs Harbour.

Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad arrested and charged the 49-year-old earlier this year.

It will be alleged he indecently assaulted a 13-year-old girl family friend during a trip to Grafton in January.

The charge was mentioned briefly in the Macksville Court on Wednesday and will be before the Coffs Local Court on April 24.
