FOUNDATION coach John Cartwright has reportedly quit the top job with the struggling Gold Coast Titans.
Cartwright has been the club's only coach since they entered the NRL competition since being recruited by the club's former chief executive Michael Searle in 2007 on a lucrative, long-term contract.
Co-owner Searle is also understood to have resigned from the Titans board.
The club's 11th loss of the season last weekend was the end of the line for Cartwright.
Former North Queensland coach Neil Henry is a strong tip to take over as coach.
The club has called an emergency media conference for 4pm (aest) at the Titans headquarters to make a "major announcement".
