Capture a cotton moment and win
COTTON Australia has launched the Click 2.0 photo and video competition, an opportunity for participants to capture beautiful moments from the 2017-18 Australian cotton season.
Cotton Australia general manager Michael Murray encouraged those in the industry, photographers and other members of the community to enter the competition.
"Every picture tells a story. We're seeking entries from all photographers: rookie, amateur and professional - and everything in between,” Mr Murray said.
"The competition runs from September 2017 to June 2018 to allow entrants to capture planting, growing, harvest, ginning, transporting and researching.
"Click 2.0 has three categories - Aussie cotton people (photos), Aussie cotton landscapes (photos) and the moving image (videos) - and entries can be from the field, shed, gin or lab.”
Competition winners will be awarded $8000 in camera equipment vouchers for use online or in-store at digiDIRECT cameras and imaging: first place: $4000 voucher, runner up: $1500 voucher, category winners: $500 vouchers (one per category) and people's choice: $1000 voucher.
Recipients will be announced and their winning entry displayed at the 19th Australian Cotton Conference at the Gold Coast (August 7-9, 2018). Conference delegates will have a chance to vote for the People's Choice prize, with the recipient taking home a $1000 camera equipment voucher.
Entries close June 8, 2018, and should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
