Whip up a fresh feast

IN MANY ways, cooking has become a lost art.

The zeal for good, home-cooked meals has been replaced with packet, pre-made and microwave meals from the freezer.

Retailers have made it too easy for us to disregard the recipe book because it is simply too hard - and our tastebuds are truly suffering.

Well, it is time to dust off the apron and stock the fridge with fresh produce because Sunshine Coast cooking schools are set to change those lazy habits.

A wide variety of classes is on offer this holiday season and throughout the year for those wanting to brush up on their skills or even learn something new.

Make it your New Year's resolution and surprise your family with delicious, nutritious gourmet meals cooked from your own kitchen.

Here is just a taste of some of the classes on offer this summer.
