Broncos need to resist Raiders attack to gain crucial win

Brisbane Broncos set to take on the Canberra Raiders tonight.
Brisbane Broncos set to take on the Canberra Raiders tonight.

BRISBANE has struggled to hold out the Raiders in recent matches at Canberra Stadium, conceding 174 points in its past six games.

That will need to change tonight if the Broncos are to improve on their 5-7 record for the season.

But winger Jordan Kahu said taking on the Raiders on what promised to be a typically cold Canberra evening held no fears for the Broncos.

"It doesn't really matter if it is hot or cold down there. We have to prepare well and be at our best," he said.

High-leaping Raiders winger Edrick Lee said he expected the Brisbane defence to try to nullify his ability under the high ball in attack.
