Bromwich brothers help Melbourne Storm tackle Tigers

STORM back-rower Kenny Bromwich enjoyed a dream debut on Monday night against the Tigers, helping his side to a gritty 26-12 win.

Bromwich took seven hit-ups form 49m, in his impressive 25-minute stint.

He also got to play alongside his brother, highly-rated prop Jesse Bromwich.

"It was pretty good, especially to go out there with my brother. I was pretty excited," Bromwich said.

"It seemed a bit quicker. Everyone was saying it wasn't as quick as all the other games.

"Maybe that was because it was my first game. Hopefully I get a few more games and get more used to it."

Bromwich said having champions Billy Stater and Cooper Cronk barking instructions at him was a massive help.

"They're very good. They're always talking, telling me where I need to be, and guiding me," he said.

Jesse Bromwich admitted the Tigers tested the Storm when they adopted an ad-lib approach.

"With our tackles he (coach Craig Bellamy) wanted us to stick because they were getting way too many offloads," he said.

"It was a bit hard to defend when they were throwing the ball around like that."
