Teen charged after attempted pharmacy break-in
A 17-year-old from Ballina has been charged with break-and-enter and intent to steal after the young man tried to break into a pharmacy in Byron Bay on Sunday morning.
Police were called to the pharmacy about 5am after reports of the young man trying to break open the rear door of the building.
On arrival, police found the young man close by with witnesses able to identify him as the alleged offender.
The youth was refused bail and he will appear in Tweed Heads Children's Court today.
