Bomb threats made to Brisbane and Sydney Airports

POLICE have charged a 62-year-old man after bomb threats were made to Brisbane and Sydney airports this morning.

It will be alleged around 9.40am a man used a public telephone at Mermaid Waters to make threats of a bomb at the airports.

A 62-year-old Inala man has been charged with two counts of using a carriage service for a hoax threat.

He will appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on July 21.
