Bindi Irwin's selfie to help 'gorgeous girls'

BINDI Irwin has shared a personal selfie on Instagram, telling "all the gorgeous girls out there" to feel beautiful and loved.

The daughter of late Croc Hunter Steve Irwin posted a photo of herself smiling with the words, 'No makeup. No filter. Feeling good."

Alongside, she wrote: "This photo is to all the gorgeous girls out there. No makeup. No filter. Me. You are beautiful. Let your inner light shine."

"Please remember how gorgeous you are.

"I don't generally post selfies, but I see so many amazing girls who need to let their true beauty out.

"I believe in you. I just wanted to remind you how pretty you are. You're loved.

"The world puts way too much pressure on girls to be perfect, but you already are. I'm sending you a hug. Be true to you."

It comes after she told reporters last month that she wished more teen girls would dress their age.

"I mean, for me, I look around at a lot of young girls that are my age and they're always trying to dress older," she said at the time.

"Whether it's wearing revealing clothes or hardly wearing any clothes at all, I feel really bad for them."

The comments drew the ire of former Neighbours star Caitlin Stasey who criticised the face of Australia Zoo on Twitter, saying Bindi should be careful not to "belittle" other women.

"Open letter to Bindi, in ten years you'll wish you stood beside your shared sex rather than be proud you belittled their choices & agency," she wrote.
