Highway upgrade open for tour

COMMUNITY members have been invited to a site inspection at the Banora Point Pacific Highway Upgrade on Sunday before the traffic is switched onto the southbound carriageway at the end of the month.

Residents will be given the opportunity to walk through the project site, featuring a land bridge and a 330m viaduct through the valley, and chat to the key project staff.

Free shuttle buses will be available from Banora Point and Tweed Heads South as there is no parking on or near the site, except for limited disabled parking.

Be at the southern valley viaduct or southbound carriageway at 8.30am on Sunday.
