Ballina gets set for Relay for Life

THERE'S less than a month to go before this year's Ballina Relay For Life kicks off at Kingsford Smith Park on November 1.

The relay will feature a silent disco by aspiring DJ Ramae, a fancy dress Polaroid photo booth, children's play zone, Zumba and belly dancing and the popular Miss Relay competition.

The traditional moving candlelight ceremony will also be held to remember loved ones lost.

Relay for Life is an overnight community event that raises money to fight cancer and spread the message about the importance of cancer prevention and the services available to those affected.

To register for the relay visit go to the Relay for Life website's Ballina Shire page.
