The Bachelor: Olena's exit sets up an emotional finale
MYSTERIOUS 'bachelorette' Olena Khamula is happy to not be in The Bachelor grand final tomorrow night.
The Sydney-based makeup artist, who intrigued Richie Strahan with her shyness, was eliminated from the reality dating show last night after admitting she didn't see a future with him.
"I wasn't really getting strong vibes from him that I was going to be the girl at the end," she told APN.
"I had a lot of questions for him after our hometown date. I didn't think he was going to come to Sydney (to be with me). I didn't see it happening."
Despite knowing it was over, Ms Khamula allowed Strahan to go ahead with tonight's rose ceremony in Bali.
"I knew I was leaving, but I wanted to let him make that decision first instead of me walking out," she said.
"To be in love with someone and have him go 'sorry babe you're out' - I would never want to be in that position. I'm glad I made it to third place."
The 23-year-old said she is happily single and enjoying Sydney's social scene.
"I haven't been dating anybody else," she said. "I'm very much single and back in the dating scene. It's been good."
She said either of the show's two finalists, Nikki Gogan and Alex Nation, could be the winner. Both women have confessed to falling for Strahan, a rope access technician from Perth.
"They have amazing personalities and both would suit Richie a lot," she said. "They love their camping and all those outdoor activities he likes.
"I know both of the girls had such strong feelings towards him. Good luck to them."
The Bachelor grand final airs tomorrow night at 7.30pm on Channel 10.
