Bach star’s bombshell about frontrunner

A former Bachelor contestant has accused one of the show's most popular frontrunners of "playing the game", hinting that she's been hiding her true personality from Matt Agnew and viewers alike.

It's no secret this season's "villain" Abbie Chatfield has rubbed girls the wrong way with her questionable motives, but the latest woman to be eliminated from the house, Sogand Mohtat, has revealed that Helena Sauzier - a favourite to win the show - also isn't exactly what she seems.

Abbie’s won over Matt — but she’s not exactly made a lot of friends in the house.

Speaking to news.com.au, Sogand, 30, admitted she'd felt Helena wasn't being entirely honest about her intentions.

"I wasn't sold on Helena, unfortunately," she said. "I didn't expect girls to be playing the game to that extent … I definitely went (on The Bachelor) thinking, 'everyone's here to find love' - but that wasn't the case."

Matt appears quite smitten with Helena.

While it's been smooth sailing for Helena with Matt so far, it does appear their blossoming relationship hits a huge snag in the coming days.

In the promo for tonight's episode, the pair are happily sharing a date where they map out the next few years of their lives before Helena starts to freak out.

"I feel a huge amount of pressure … I'm literally drowning and I'm freaking out," she tells producers. "It's a lot to commit to one person … I've got a bad feeling this is not going to end well."

Helena then bolts from the date, telling one of the crew: "I need to get out of here - I can't do this, I just can't."

Meanwhile, during her post-Bachelor interview, Sogand also took a thinly veiled swipe at Matt, insisting that she was glad it hadn't worked out between them.

"I feel like he's falling for the games Abbie's playing and that's not exactly someone I would want to end up with," she told news.com.au.

The Bachelor continues tonight at 7.30pm on Ten.
