Baby piercings: A parent's right or a form of child abuse?

OPINION: A Withcott resident claims that having a baby's ears pierced is a form of child abuse. They say parents and businesses that do the piercing should be charged and fined.

This is what they had to say:

"Parents who get their little baby's ears pierced should be fined and charged with child abuse.

"Ditto for the businesses who do the piercing.

"Where is the baby's basic right as is it is too little to protest?

"Cruel and trashy."
