Former world champion Tyson Gay first at Diamond League 100m

FORMER world champion Tyson Gay beat the cold, rain and his rivals to win the 100m at the New York Diamond League meet yesterday.

Despite running into a headwind, Gay won in 10.02 seconds, well outside his world leading season-best of 9.86.

Olympic champion David Rudisha won the 800m in 1:45.14. 

Ethiopia's Hagos Gebrhiwet won the men's 5000m in a season world best of 13:10.03.
