Art Society work on show

THE Ballina Art Society is holding its 41st annual exhibition at the Ballina RSL Club on the weekend of April 19-21.

Doors open at noon on April 19, and the official opening and awarding of prizes will be held at 6pm.

State Member for Ballina Don Page will open the exhibition, and Steve Giese, an art tutor from Lismore TAFE, is the judge.

The exhibition will be open from 10am to 8pm on April 20 and 10am to 4pm on April 21.

Entry to the exhibition is free.

The exhibition represents members' works created in the past year, including the work of talented new members.

All work is for sale and has not been exhibited before.

There will be a range of mediums and subjects, including landscapes, waterscapes, urban landscapes, portrait and figure studies, still life, abstracts, flora/fauna, narrative and Ballina scenes.

Visitors to the art society's exhibition can vote for their favourite work.
