COMPLAINTS have been received by Richmond police of hoons on the beach.

Reports of people driving erratically, consuming alcohol while driving and acting in an anti-social manner have come to light.

Police arrested a person on Air Force Beach at Evans Head for high range drink driving on Tuesday.

Police will continue to carry out high visibility patrols on our beaches, check vehicle speeds and alcohol readings on people driving on the beach or in charge of a vessel on the water.
