Armed robbery at Casino bank
POLICE are searching for an armed man who held-up a bank in Casino this morning.
The offender, believed to be in his early 20’s, walked into the Summerland Credit Union on Walker Street at 10:20am and demanded cash from one of the tellers.
He was armed with a 25-30cm knife.
The teller handed over a sum of cash – police are yet to release the amount – before running from the building.
He was last seen heading towards Bi-Lo on Canterbury Street.
He was described as Caucasian, 168-170 cm tall, wearing green or black track pants with a grey hooded jumper
Police said there were a couple of witnesses inside the bank at the time of the robbery.
