Three Aussie titles

THERE is a young Lennox Head bloke who is showing plenty of potential to one day represent Australia at taekwondo ? winning three national titles in a row is the hint to what he may one day achieve.

Miller Brand returned from the Taekwondo Australia national championships held over the October long weekend in Hobart with his third national title.

And the nine-year-old has only been training in taekwondo under the instruction of Shane McKeahnie of Strike Marital Arts in Ballina for three years.

The most important thing for Miller at the moment is that he's 'having fun'.

Shane McKeahnie, said Miller was 'phenomenal' and was at a level far beyond his age.

"If he keeps going the way he is, I have no doubt he'll be right up there for a long, long time," he said.

n Two other children at Strike Martial Arts, Miller's sister Lily Brand and Brianna Wilson, also did well at the national titles.

Lily won a gold medal ? her first ? and Brianna brought home a silver medal.
