Alstonville kids top maths comp

ALSTONVILLE Public School's 5/6W Blues team has finished first in Australia in the 11-13 years age group of the recent two-day World Maths Day competition.

The online competition attracted more than 1.57 million students from over 200 countries.

The Alstonville students placed 55th in the world.

The school's high achievers with scores over 1000 points were Pavikshan Siribalamurali, Riley Kennington, Lilyan Tyson, Finn Ball, Eli McLean, Hannah Gallagher, and Hannah Edwards.
