Alfa Romeo 4C gets first taste of Australia

BREATHTAKING beauty won four wheels ill steal the show at Phillip Island this weekend.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is the official safety car for the opening round of the 2014 World Superbike Championship as part of Alfa Romeo's global partnership with the series.

The 4C has created waves in the automotive world since its inception, winning four prominent international awards and earning widespread critical acclaim.

The compact supercar delivers potent performance thanks to its combination of total dry weight of just 895kg - achieved through the extensive use of carbon fibre - and turbocharged, direct injection four-cylinder engine that produces 177kW and 350Nm of torque.

It accelerates from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 258kmh.

Optimal weight distribution of 40% over the front axle and 60% over the rear contributes to balanced, racecar-like handling.

The Alfa Romeo 4C is forecast to launch in Australia mid-year.
