Adelaide Crows dominate AFL All-Australian squad

ADELAIDE'S stunning season has been rewarded by All-Australian selectors, with eight players named in this year's 40-man squad.

All but two teams had at least one player selected in the squad, with the Crows far and away the most prolific team after a season in which they claimed the minor premiership.

Eddie Betts, Matt Crouch, Sam Jacobs, Rory Laird, Jake Lever, Tom Lynch, Rory Sloane and Taylor Walker have all been named, with a host of notable omissions.

Melbourne midfielder Clayton Oliver and Richmond captain Trent Cotchin are the most signiciant absences from the squad, with Brodie Grundy also missed out on a ruck role.

The squad will be trimmed to 22 on Wednesday night.
