Teen dead after seven stabbed at Sydney house party
A TEENAGER has died after seven people were stabbed at an out-of-control Sydney party.
Police were called to a home in Ryde, in the city's north-west, just after midnight yesterday after reports of an altercation involving several young people.
Six males and one woman were stabbed, including a 16-year-old boy who died as a result of his injuries.
A 21-year-old man and another 16-year-old boy were taken to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.
Three boys, two aged 16 and one 17-year-old, and a woman aged 18 were all taken to Royal North Shore Hospital in a stable condition.
Police are treating the death as a murder.
They did not believe the party had been gatecrashed, but were yet to lay any charges yesterday.
Interviews with witnesses had begun and forensic tests were carried out.
Blood could be seen spilt across the footpath outside the home.
