AUSTRALIAN rider Rohan Dennis retained second place on the overall standings behind Poland's Michal Kwiatkowski after stage two of the Paris-Nice race.

Fellow Aussie Michael Matthews jumped to fifth after finishing fourth on the stage won by German Andre Greipel.
