Malaysian PM admits hijacking scenarios considered for MH370

A POSSIBLE hijacking of the missing plane on flight MH 370 is being assessed by Malaysian authorities, the nation's Prime Minister admitted on the weekend.

PM Najib Razak told reporters on Saturday that someone on board the flight had shut down its communications and flown the plane off course before it disappeared.

Reuters has reported police visited missing pilot Zaharie Ahmad Shah's home in Malaysia looking for evidence shortly after Mr Najib spoke.

While Mr Najib did not say there was a definite connection to those on board the plane to any terror groups, he said the changes during the flight were "consistent with a deliberate action" by someone on board.

He said despite media reports of a hijacking; Malaysian authorities were still investigating all possibilities.
