Jarrod Fletcher makes 17 middleweight wins

AUSTRALIAN middleweight champion Jarrod Fletcher chalked up the 17th win of his 18-bout professional career in Melbourne on Friday night but he had to step up a couple of weight divisions to do it.

Fletcher, No.3 in the World Boxing Association rankings, defeated Tim Kanofski by unanimous decision at light heavyweight.

Kanofski was a late replacement for Fletcher after Brazilian Samir Santos Barbosa pulled out.
