Life taken too soon as motorbike crash claims young woman
A FALL from a quad bike has resulted in tragedy for a Durong family with the death of 28-year-old Zoe McInnes.
Her brother Sam yesterday spoke of a sister who had plenty of friends and loved having a good time.
Sam, his brothers Todd and Kit and their mother Karen were beside Zoe's bed when she died in Brisbane's Princess Alexandra Hospital on Wednesday.
Zoe had been on life support since sustaining serious head injuries during a fall from a quad bike on her family's farm, north of Chinchilla, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
"She had a huge group of friends who would turn up here for any sort of event," Sam said.
Zoe worked as an agronomist for Landmark in Chinchilla and lived with her boyfriend Jeremy Paii in a house on her family's farm.
"She loved the agronomy side of things and getting out and seeing all of the growers she looked after.
"She had a three-month-old nephew Archer McInnes whom she loved."
He said support from friends had been a great help to his family.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
